Where most other exercise is performed as linear, static, strengthening or stretching, GYROTONIC® exercise is a balance of all this and more. Through the use of circular, continuous, and repetitive movements, Gyrotonic exercise both strengthens and stretches the body from the inside out.
Founded by Juliu Horvath and originally called "Yoga for Dancers" and "Spinal Gymnastics", the GYROTONIC® Method uniquely combines the same benefits acquired by practicing yoga, dance, gymnastics, swimming, and tai chi.
